Purple Soup

Purple SoupFinally we had a Pink-Purple Dinner, so this is my┬áPurple Soup ­čÖé

For this soup; I must say, usually I do not like cooked red cabbage. At the beginning I had doubts but I searched the┬áinternet and read some┬ágood reviews. Plus I love the color ­čÖé So I decided to create my version of the recipe.

In Germany red cabbage is used a lot. Mostly roasted or in salad or cooked as garnish.

As┬ámy son saw the soup he said that he won’t eat purple food┬á😂. But after he tasted it he finished the whole bowl┬á😂.

Purple SoupIngredients:

  • 1/2 red cabbage
  • 1 onion
  • 1 carrot (I used purple carrots but normal carrots work┬áfine)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1 teaspoon pimento/All spice
  • pepper and salt
  • 1 tea spoon maple syrup
  • meat broth
  • olive oil
  • cream

Purple SoupRemove the red cabbage’s core and cut the rest┬áinto small pieces.

Chop the onion and garlic. Slice the carrot.

Purple SoupPut olive oil in a pan and then add garlic, onions, carrot and cabbage. Cook them for 5 mins.

Purple SoupThen add the meat broth and cook until the carrots are soft, approx. 30 mins.

Purple SoupAdd pepper, salt, ginger and allspice.

Purple SoupThen blend it.Purple SoupUse a sieve to make the soup smooth. Use whatevery comes out the bottom. Use what is left in the sieve for other recipes.

Purple SoupAnd add 100 gr. cream and bon appetite..

Almanyada k─▒rm─▒z─▒ lahana yemeklerde ├žok kullan─▒l─▒yor. ├ço─čunlukla f─▒r─▒nlanm─▒┼č ya da salatan─▒n i├žerisinde ya da pi┼čirilip yemek yan─▒nda yeniliyor.

O─člum ├žorbay─▒ g├Ârd├╝─č├╝nde mor renginde hi├žbir ┼čey yemeyece─čini s├Âyledi ama bir kez tad─▒na bakt─▒ktan sonra t├╝m kaseyi bitirdi.┬á😂

  • 1/2 k─▒rm─▒z─▒ lahana
  • 1 so─čan
  • 1 havu├ž (ben mor havu├ž kulland─▒m ama normal havu├ž da kullanabilirsiniz.)
  • 2 d─▒┼č sar─▒msak
  • 1/2 ├žay ka┼č─▒─č─▒ zencefil tozu
  • 1 ├žay ka┼č─▒─č─▒ yenibahar
  • karabiber ve tuz
  • 1 tatl─▒ ka┼č─▒─č─▒ ak├žaa─ča├ž ┼čurubu (ya da ┼čeker)
  • et suyu (ha┼članmi┼č kemik suyu kullandim)
  • zeytin ya─či
  • krema

K─▒rm─▒z─▒ lahanan─▒n beyaz olan k├Âk├╝n├╝ ├ž─▒kart─▒p do─čray─▒n. So─čan, sar─▒msak ve havucu da do─čray─▒n. Tencerenin i├žine biraz zeytin ya─č─▒ koyup 5 dk k─▒zart─▒n.

─░├žine 1 lt et suyu koyun ve havu├ž yumu┼čay─▒ncaya kadar kaynat─▒n. Yakla┼č─▒k olarak 30 dk.

─░├žine t├╝m baharatlar─▒ ve tuzu koyun.

Sonra blenderdan, ard─▒ndan s├╝zge├žten ge├žirin. B├Âylece ├žorba p├╝r├╝zs├╝z olacak.

─░├žine 100 gr. krema koyun, iyice kar─▒┼čt─▒r─▒n.
